    have you been reading some *discourse analysis* where, wrt the injunction ‘be afraid, be very afraid’ the analyst classes the lexical item “afraid” as a verb?
    er, what i _meant_ to say was “..as a Process?” ? of course.

      my con-musement wrt the above has been highlighted and textured by the recent discussion on sysfunc regarding the usefulness of word class.
